Which of the following devices -- if any -- do you think will make the cut for the iOS 7 software update?
    • iPhone 3GS
    • iPhone 4
    • iPad 2
    • iPad (third-generation)
    • iPod touch 4G (fourth-generation)

    Won't Get It:
    • iPhone 3GS
    • iPod Touch Fourth-Generation (It would be foolish if they did do it for the iPT4G, bc the 4G can hardly run iOS 6.0 well enough)

    Maybe Will Get It:
    • iPhone 4 (I really don't know if they would since it's an A4 device).

    Will Get It:
    • iPad 2
    • iPad 3

iPad 2 and 3, yes. But the others, no chance

I don't think they iPhone 4 will get it. It didn't even get the full iOS 6 update. And keep in mind, it's not about whether a device can run the OS or not, it's just Apple wanting people to get the newest devices.

    3GS: nope.
4: it will get the same number of features as the 3GS got in iOS 6.
    iPad 2/3: yes.
    iPt4: nope.

Hopefully they will just go back into the regular pattern so we don't have any more surprises. That would be only those above the iPhone 4, above the iPod touch 4, and above the iPad 2. Although I have a feeling they will give it to the iPad 2 because it has the A5, thus breaking the pattern yet again. Maybe the same with the iPhone 4, since the 3GS oddly got iOS 6.

The iPad 2 should get it since its processor, the A5, can handle anything that the A5X can because the CPU part of the A5X is essentially just an A5. Both the A5 and the A5X scored almost exactly the same on most benchmark tests. Long story short: if an iPad 3 can handle it, so can an iPad 2.

The 3GS got it because it was still being sold by both Apple and AT&T. Along with all the international carriers.

My guess is all the devices they currently still sell (and the iPad 3) will get iOS 7.

    So, iPhone 4, 4S, 5. iPod touch 4g, 5g and iPad 2, 3, 4 and iPad Mini

The iPod touch 4g is so slow on iOS 6...but I'm sure it'll get iOS 7, just like the 3GS got iOS 6..becuz they still sell them and they won't want to drop support that fast.

It's hard to say with the fourth-gen iPod touch.
