How well does the iPod Touch 5th Gen. perform with iOS 7? Or any guess on how much lag it might have once it officially comes out based on how well it's doing on the beta?

Just as good as the iP5 from my testing.

Sent from my Atrix with CM10.1 and the 3.1.10 kernel with Tapatalk 4 Beta.

it's pretty good. the first few uses it'll be kinda slow and laggy but after a little while it works just fine.

it helps if you use it for a few hours and then restart your ipod.

Sums it up pretty much. Initial use is slow due to system initialisation but the OS becomes more responsive the later on.

iPod touch 5th generation should support all of the (non cellular-dependent) new features of iOS 7, including parallax and AirDrop. There are a few minor bugs here and there but they should be fixed before public release.

While using "Despicable Me: Minion Rush" as a test app, I encountered several instances of frame rate drop and app crashes, potentially due to iOS 7 being slightly more demanding on hardware resources.

Okay sounds like iOS7 will/does run on it pretty nice. Just want to make sure sense I'm getting one soon.

I have to agree with the others; it's running quite smooth and fast, even while it is still in beta. The last beta and the GM (Golden Master) will clear that out more, rather than with the third beta (most current one available).

It's very good and not much lag! If you try to press a lot of things at once on an app it force closes

Most of the things you can do sometimes force close but it's alright for daily use! I've been using it for about 4 weeks now and I haven't had any problems!

(My 5th Gen should arrive by Thursday!)

Just out of curiosity does it run better on iOS 6 or iOS 7?
