Mainly for developers, it's been only 4 days, but already iOS 6 has been successfully jailbroken. Now it's not great news just yet as this early jailbreak is intended for developers, Keep in mind: -It is a TETHERED jailbreak -Root filesystem access only - there is NO Cydia (this is why it's designed for developers) Normal users may use it if they wish but all they will gain is root filesystem access, nevertheless, if you're like me, that's the main reason you want to jailbreak your phone atm, get all the files you want. So go ahead Time to start grabbing the iOS 6 files.. http://blog.iphone-dev.org/redsn0w-iOS6 (Download) Finally, you will need to point redsn0w at your iOS 6 ipsw
By releasing a beta JB, won't that give Apple a chance to fix the vulnerability and block JB on the final release?
I notice he says they can't fetch peices from it. Is it just to save coding time or file size, or what?
Hi guys, I've had interesting results with it; on one hand I can reboot the device without redsn0w, safari still works, and battery percentage was enabled. I even managed to change an icon with iPhonebrowser. But I also found that redsn0w gets stuck trying to boot tethered after the first boot, and the device will boot up with apple logo instead of pineapple and also ssh drops the connection straight away.
