I got iOS6 stock. Apple maps works well where I live and I have used Google Maps. Google maps is very nice...but...it just isn't what it used to be. I find it harder to use Google Maps than Apple Maps because Apple map's interface is what Google Maps used to be like.

It's funny because die hard Apple fanboys will insist on Apple maps being the best, whether it's because it's "better in my area" or "because I haven't had issues". The world is bigger than your living room and Google simply have the edge when it comes to maps. It's a fact Apple failed hard at this (just like they did with Ping). No doubt they will bounce back. Even if Apple made "Apple Roadview" they would say "it's better than Google" simply because it's Apple.

True, true. Google Maps is more accurate and their images are sharper.

I used Apple Maps to get me to an appointment today (a 30min drive), and then I used Google Maps to get me home again.

Personally I still prefer Apple Maps.

Do you use voice navigation? Did you find the Google Maps voice really quiet?

Apple fanboys didn't claim that Ping was great. Ping sucked and it was universally agreed on. However, Apple Maps is mechanically superior to Google Maps and has more potential thereby. Accuracy in one's area of residency is a coherent argument for Apple Maps. I use many Google services over Apple's, like Gmail over iCloud, Google Voice over iMessage. Google Maps is superior to you, Apple Maps is superior to us.

I noticed Google Maps has a low voice too. I say hell with Google Maps and Apple maps. Scout FTW!

Ship an untethered JB for iOS6 and see the usage spike even more!
Maybe even a boost iPhone5 sales. One of the reasons I didn't jump yet, is just that.

    I say! :)
