What do you think iOS 5.0 will bring in terms of major changes?

    General Stuff:

    • Change Network and Battery/Brightness settings from the top menu bar by double tapping it.
    • Translucent menu bars for apps that require more screen space.
    • Removal of Contacts app for iPhone users, as the Phone app has the same thing.
    • Progress bar in the Syncing screen.
    • Increase the Folder limit to 16 apps.
    • Mail icon on menu bar when a new message arrives.

    Phone/Messages:
    • Popup Text Message boxes that can be answered within the current app you're in, instead of moving to the Messages app.
    • Merging of the "Favorites" and "Contacts" section. Favorites can be accessed by a button on the top-left of the Contacts app.
    • Option to sort Contacts by Location as well as Alphabetical order.

    Calendar:
    • Get notified about the day's weather on dates with events, in case of a rain delay, etc.
    iPod:
    • Delete content via the device you're on, rather than iTunes.
    • .AVI and .MPEG support for Videos.
    • Smaller Genius icon, or no Genius icon at all if disabled.
    • Custom EQ Settings.

    Weather:
    • A radar map of some sort that uses Google Maps to display weather/rain/cloud patterns.

    Camera:
    • Export 720p content to YouTube without any quality loss.
    • Video annotation support via the default Video trimmer/editor.
    • An "Upload to Web" feature that lets you upload a picture to Facebook or Twitter.
    • Overlays such as the ones found on the most recent iPod nano.

    YouTube:
    • Extended amount of videos viewable in your History.
    • Continue audio when device is in sleep mode, similar to the iPod app.

At least his ideas arent that farfetched, like wanting flash and the ability to have video wallpapers

    I would like to see

    - A required gesture (such as hold home button) to send an app to the background.

    -A Better Folder System
    Unlimited Apps per Folder
    Folders inside Folders
FolderEnhancer on Cydia does the job well, Apple needs to do something like that.

-An FM Radio app, the chip is in mostt iPods, why not use it.

    -redisgned settings system.
A page, left of spotlight, that you can use to control the most common settings. From here you could do things like turn on wi-fi and connect to a network, or turn on bluetooth and connect to a device, or adjust screen brightness. Less used settings could be access from an all new settings app.

-Bluetooth file sharing between devices registered to the same iTunes account. You could share apps, songs, videos or other files between devices. They would have to belong to the same account though, as Apple won't allow anything that could be used to give free access to paid content.

-Make the Widgets (Such as Weather, Stocks and others) optionally downloadable or at least allow us to delete the ones we do not want.

-If possible, make iOS a smaller download, and make it take less room on our devices.

I know this isn't a software improvement but
for iPod Touch 5th Gen I want to see a decent camera, preferably the same one used in the current iPhone. This years 0.7 MP camera was a serious waste of money, as the pictures look bad on the retina display.

    - Radio app.
    - Ability to CLOSE apps in one step. (Not close it then go multi bar and close it again.)
    - Easier access to some Settings functions that are seen in SBSettings. Perhaps implementing a similar drop down menu like SBSettings or putting a quick settings page to the left of Spotlight.
    - Maybe allowing the screen to go even dimmer than it can because I still find the screen kind of bright( at lowest brightness) in the dark, so I would like to see it dimmer to save battery.
    - A polished OS which is snappy and conserves battery really well.
