    I have a 16g 2nd gen Ipod Touch Non-MC
I've been trying to downgrade my ipod from iOS4 because
    1. My battery drains at a ridiculous speed.
    2. Compatibility of apps/tweaks from 3.1.3 and 4.0

I'd rather just wait until iOS4 is more stable and doesn't eat my damn battery.

So the problem is that I CAN downgrade my ipod.
after downgrading it gives me an error message. (I'm downgrading to 3.1.2 because I heard that 3.1.3 won't work anymore.)
It still loads up though and i thought it worked okay.
I synced all of my music and then realized that it took about 20-30 mins to "update my music library" (On my ipod after i click the music app.
My ipod is running veryyyy slow.
If i click the skip song button, it is usually 10 seconds into the song before it changes it.
    Can anyone help with this?
I love my ipod and really would like to just go back to the old firmware.

Try rebooting it or if that doesn't work resync, and if that doesn't work restore again to 3.1.2, and finally 3.1.3 if nothing works.

I've tried all three of these. I've restored my ipod with 3.1.3 about 3 times and 3.1.2 4 times. Nothing is working.

well, the real stuff is what you have on iTunes. Its tough to say it, but I think that you should buy a 32 GB iPod and do not upgrade it
