iOS 4.1 ios 4.2 upgrade

    when ios 4.2 comes out would i be able to upgrade to it because my ipod is a 32 gb 3g ios 4.1 jailbroken with limera1n rc1 beta 4 or would it brick it

    i thought this "pwned4life" crap meant it is owned for life so no matter what firmware you upgrade to it's still "owned"

    so if limera1n is pwned4life, and your jailbroke on 4.1 then no matter what firmware you upgrade to you are still jailbroken since to fix pwn4life it requires a hardware fix not a software fix,

    you cant software fix a pwned4life

    They have to update the jailbreak tool.

    ah, using that term "pwned4life" is so darn confusing it makes you think that no matter what firmware comes out, if you jailbroke with a "pwned4life" jailbreak then you can upgrade to any firmware and keep your jailbreak forever.

    Technically you can... think it means its very easy to jailbreak future updates like you dont have to wait 6 months to jb 4.2

    yeah, pwned4life just means that the device can be Jailbroken on any firmware by using that exploit.
    The jailbreak program itself still needs to be updated every so often to accommodate the new firmwares.
