iOS 4.2 downgrade

    Is there any way to downgrade iOS 4.2 to 4.1 without ecid shsh blobs and is iTunes 10 required or can o use 9.2?

    You can't "update" to an older version, you'll have to restore your device to 4.1.
    You don't need SHSHs, though, because iOS 4.1 is the current "officially supported" OS from Apple. I'm pretty sure iTunes 10 is required for 4.1, but you can try to do that without updating (it won't hurt your device).

    If you used a "cracked" 4.2 without the Developer UDID, then you might not be able to downgrade.

    Even if have a legit dev account and UDID registered when you go back you will get an error message. The firmware will be installed but you need to use iRecovery, or Tiny Umbrella to kick it out and it will boot fine.

    I will install iTunes 10.01 and try the check for update ( I've been bricked 5 times ) restore is the fix
