Before you say "It's not bricked" Here's the problem:

    -It won't turn on
-I can't restore it using DFU mode(when it restarts the ipod it doesn't turn back on)
-It only turns on once every few hours with my computer or when I plug it in used the iphone powerblock but it turns off as soon as I unplug it.

I used redsn0w to jail break and I put a custom boot logo so taking it to apple is out of the question. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    P.S
It "bricked" while I was playing bejeweled 2. It just shut it self off and won't turn back on.(It's been 3 days.)

BTW I have an error log from iTunes for a failed restore while trying to fix it.(If that matters)

Make sure you put in DFU mode correctly, iPod touches can't be 'bricked'.

I had that problem on my ipt2g about 3-4 months ago, but mine wasn't jailbroken at the time. When the device does turn on try to restore it and send it in. The problem with mine turned out to be a problem with the motherboard, so it's possible you're having the same problem if yours is an older model.

I am, but the screen isn't even turning on.

    I haven't SSH'd on 4.0.
I've had it for almost 2 years. But like I said I have a custom boot logo so getting help from apple is out of the question.

    Turn it off.
    Hold Power for 5 seconds.
Hold Power and Home for 10 seconds. Make sure you haven't let go of the power button yet.
Let go of the Power button and continue holding Home until your computer recognizes it.

Than iTunes says it has detected an iPod in recovery mode and when I try to restore it, my iPods screen stays off and iTunes get stuck at "preparing iPod for restore"

Btw. It's stuck off so I can't turn it off, but it still goes in to DFU mode but the screen doesn't turn on.

In DFU, the screen isn't supposed to be on. It's supposed to be black. Are you on iTunes 9.2?
