? involving a virus

    If my computer has a virus like a trogan will it transer the virus to my ipod if i sync it?

    o yea is it possible to get a virus while on the app store, wifi apps, youtube, or safari?

    ok well you answer question 2 but will my ipod get a virus if i sync it with a computer that already has a virus? Any way to know if my ipod has a virus? ANyway to remove the virus if it does. And will just charging the ipod transer the virus?/

    It will not get viruses from your pc (or mac)

    The ARM core in your iPod and the x86 (plus any and all extensions to the x86 instruction set) core in your computer have different architectures, making it impossible for a computer virus to be executed on your iPod.

    Your iPod is immune to viri ('viruses' for those unfamiliar with Latin) that target PCs (or Macs), because of processor architecture differences. Theoretically, a virus could be made to target the iPhone, but at this time, no such virus exists.

    Yes. Almost, if you are jailbroken and use SSH and your password is still "alpine" change it with Mobile Terminal or Rock.

    To change your password in Mobile Terminal

    type in: passwd
    (hit enter)
    type in new password(it wont show the characters)
    (hit enter)
    confirm password(it wont show the characters)
    (hit enter)
    Done.
