I applied my invisibleSHIELD to my iPod touch 4, and ALL the ports and opening are COMPLETELY open and there to see. About one hour later, I tried recording a voice memo, and my voice is SO quiet, you can barely hear it. Again, I did NOT apply the shield wrong, I'm sure. Why would this be happening, and is anyone else having this problem?

The application solution is getting into the microphone and damaging it. Same thing happened when someone I knew put a pair of headphones through a washing machine, the mic was very quiet afterwards.

Is that permanent or will it be fixed when it dries?

this is what i would do... do you have a light leak? then take into a apple store and get a new one without mentioning the mic. the light leak is enoughfor a new ipod. if u got the shiled off of zagg then scrath it and get a new one(there liftime warranteed)
