Are you getting an IP address? Click on the little blue arrow on the Wireless connection via your ipod and check.

If not assign one manually or check that you DHCP is running correctly on you HomeHub.

What Hub do you have? the old white ones have issues responding to uni cast discovers from anything that is not windows based using WPA / WPA2 Encryption

What IP are you getting? homehub should be something like 192.x.x.x

you should have a gateway address of 192.168.1.254? Check it is getting a DNS address too

169 means that it can not find an ip address from the DHCP
    ------------------double post merged------------------
ur problem will be what i stated earlier regarding non windows uni cast descovery issues with the white HUB on certain encryption methods.

I would enter the ip settings in manually use:

IP- 192.168.1.106 (if that is in use (i doubt it will be) use something else)
    Subnet- 255.255.255.0
    gateway - 192.168.1.254

    DNS - 192.168.1.254
