sh*t, I wish some one would find this sh*t out I ready, it would be a great app, for those who only have lane line, and not wireless. I to post this question around, but so far did not get a reply to it, only the bullsh*t people saying that it would be cool, will if it that cool then make it true.
Mine Works Not sure if anyone else is doing this. I have windows 7 and when I am plugged into my land line for internet, I set my wireless up as adhoc. Just setup net connection, ad-hoc, with no security. My ipod picks it up with no issue and I have internet on my ipod now.
heres how... http://connectify.me/ Sorry, it only works on Windows 7. If you have a mac, try the mac solution below. http://gigaom.com/apple/create-a-wifi-hotspot-share-your-internet-connection-in-leopard/ Enjoy!
Wrong answers I think what the people are asking for are NOT WIRELESS (wifi). They want a WIRED connection. For example, plugging in your ipad/ipod/iphone to a computer (like with syncing) but using that connection (via the usb) for internet connections from your computer. Basically, they want an app or hack to be able to connect to the internet by sharing it with their computer. It would probably be easier (as someone has already mentioned) to just get a wireless pc card/usb drive.... but that would cost money I don't know of a program/app that would do this, but i'll post it if I find one.
Guests stop bumping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just make an adhoc. I recently figured out how to get the adhoc connection between my ipod and computer going. My router broke down and i resided to my default/old router which isn't wireless. So i tried adhoc, took me a while but i've got it now. (windows xp, vista etc will be along the lines.) What u'll need: Ipod Computer with both wifi and lan connection. THIS WORKS WITH NEW DEVICES, IT WORKS ON MY IPOD TOUCH 4G 4.1. (on my ipod everything works so yeah, no disadvantages apart from keeping comp on) I'll post link for my video soon. IpodMenace. First get onto network connections, start > Control panel > network connections. Right click wifi connection go to wireless connections and add a new connection name and click adhoc network and take off the already assigned key and put in a wep key then go to the advanced tab and click connect auto. (should only be one option) Go back and change open to shared. click ok and then click on advanced and select adhoc networks only. ok ur done with that. now close and go to ur lan connection and ENABLE internet sharing first box only. now get an ipod and connect to adhoc and it should connect on comp. Now when wifi symbol is on open app store if it loads ur done. If not get back on comp and change firewall settings to default. UR WELCOME, IPODMENACE
The whole point of this thread is trying to get this to work over a USB connection. UR WELCOME, LAUNCHD
I know this might not help but I know that there is definitely a way to do this! I saw it somewhere in the forums! Sorry that this isn't much help!
hmm.. not sure about it! well i'm not sure about ipod touch but internet can be accessed on psp through usb cable.
