Basically, earlier on i had to restore my IPod touch (2nd Gen, 2.2.1)
Before i restored it, the internet on it worked perfectly, however after restoring it, it simply won't connect to the internet. I have tried over 15 times to connect it to the internet, just simply doesn't work, i click 'renew lease' and my IP address doesn't come up, a made up one does, however it says that it is connected to the internet, i go to go on the internet and it doesn't work.

How can i press ' renew lease ' and it comes up with my internet details?

If you have any more questions on this, please comment on this!

    Please help ! Thanks alot!

Sure your router is giving you a correct IP address? it's not a 169.x right

If it is a 169 address this means the ipod cannot get an address from the DHCP server. reset ur router. DHCP should now work.

First reset the network settings by going to settings>general>Reset>reset network settings

If not you can try this (it worked with my ipod when i upgraded to 3.1.2)
Try having the router back to default settings. On your computer, put the ip address of the router and you should be in the settings for your router(you will probably have a user name and password to put in). Once in their try to locate where you can have the router put back into default settings. After that, set it up like you had it(password, SSID, etc.) Then try to connect with your iPod.

Usually the second option always works for me. Idk man, I would try restoring you iPod again, I guess. Its always a pain in the but when your iPod isn't working properly.
