Has anyone else noticed this ever since upgrading to i0S 4. I have an 32gb iPod Touch which sounded horrid when the volume was turned all the way up. It sounds alot better now in full volume with quite alot less bass distortion. I don't understand how they managed to fix what seemed to be a hardware problem with a software update.

I cannot reproduce it since I don't own an iPod Touch but I think it is either an EQ or it is just reduced maximum volume...
the iPhone tho still distorts the bass but it is not too bad at all

I had also noticed some slight improvement, whether it was down to iOS4 or the film being played - I don't know.

Didnt know the iPhone had the same problem. They must have fiddled with EQ abit but I wouldn't say they reduced the max volume.

By film do you mean the content that is on the iPod like music and videos because there is no way they could have been the problem. It must have been the speaker itself.

They've reduced the max volume by 25%. That's why. I'm hating it. It's not loud enough.
