Is there a hack of any sort that will keep the internal speaker on even when headphones are plugged in?

What do you have in mind that would require that?

I asked that about a week ago, I don't think there is since I asked twice and I've got no answer.

The Skype app actually can do this, so there is definitely a software trick that can enable the speaker with a mic plugged in.

Can it? I have the Skype application and it didn't work, it just makes some weird noise.

Well, it did enable the speaker for me, but I just realized that I didn't test the mic in this mode. I'll have to do that later.
