i was using jailbroken 2.1. everything was working fine. i was using Categories, and had Installer, Cydia, BossPrefs and the Categories app in a folder called Apps, and only the Apps folder was visible on my home screen. last night i upgraded to 2.2, and ran QuickPWN today. looked like it was a good jailbreak HOWEVER now the Categories app is gone (i know why), and since BossPrefs, Cydia and Installer were in a folder called Apps created by Categories, i can't find them. i took a look at the Cydia Info.plist, but there isn't a string that says it's hidden. what can i do?

no. i know why the sh*t isnt there. cydia and installer were hidden by apps that are no longer on the iphone. i looked at Info.plist, and there isn't a string that says "hidden". cydia is not showing up on the springboard.

Go into settings -> General -> Restrictions -> Turn Restrictions Off! If they are already off, turn them on, and then switch them off. Works like a charm.
