I have a 1st gen iPod Touch and it was until recently, was 2.0.2 jailbroken. It had MIM on it and the interesting thing is, that once i changed the banner/carrier, it stayed there (after 2.1 upgrade-non-jailbroken). Has this happened to anyone else and would it work on the iPhone?

if you restore from a backup that always happens. and yes, it will work on the iphone.

Make It Mine, gives you the ability to change your carrier and banner.

no what i mean is when you restore, it says something like "Would you like to restore from a backup of [name]'s iPod or set it up as a new device?" or something. If you had your carrier changed and you restore from a backup it will work.

thats why. if you upgrade it keeps certain files. for instance it keeps your old symlinks... you oculd see them if you jailbreak and install OpenSSH...
tbh you should really have restored to new version of 2.1 if you are going to jailbreakit ever. coz then the symlinks are gone...
