intentional brick time

    ok, so ive decided that i want an iphone

    so i was wondering what folder could i delete in SSH to PERMANENTLY brick my ipod touch, so that not even apple could unbrick it?

    if u have an itouch they won't give u an iphone.

    Ummm well you could just delete the whole Var folder... id think restoring will fix that
    I dont think you can get an iPhone if you have an iPod Touch though

    I tryed it and they will only give you a referbished iPod touch. You could take the refurb and try to sell it on ebay.

    not even an upgrade from 16GB to 32GB?

    No u can pay the difference to upgrade to a highy GB but im not sure about iPhone its worth a try though!

    well i completely would if i knew that i would get one but jim said that he tried the same thing and it didnt work so now im undecided about bricking lol

    nope. You can't even upgrade. They have to give you the exact thing you brought in.

    Here's what I did. I exchanged the iPod at apple. I told them there was a problem with the headphone jack. Sound would cut in and out.

    Then I took the refurb to best buy with all the wires and things it came with and returned it.

    They gave me a $406 gift card that I sold to someone who was buying a TV.

    Then I took my brand new 406 dollars to AT&T were I payed the extra for a 16g iPhone. I had to tell them it was a gift and give a phone number of an AT&T subscriber to get them to sell me the phone.
