I have a two question, Say if I were to get an Intel dual core laptop at 1.4ghz, Does that mean its 2.8ghz? And how good is that? Sorry I'm a little confused right now.

It doesn't mean its 2.8Ghz, it means its 1.4Ghz, twice. lol. That's okay, but if you can get better then you should, I have a 1.89Ghz dual core in my laptop and its not the fastest thing ever tbh.

I'm not a gamer, nor a huge muti tasker, so I should get like a near 2.0ghz single core?

Definitely don't get a single core, I think if you aren't a 'power user' or whatever the jargon for that is, then 1.4Ghz should be ok, especially if you use windows xp or a linux flavour etc but vista might not give you the best experience with a 1.4Ghz dual core.

I hate to say it but osx86 is like vista, it does need a fair bit of power, thats not to say it wont work on a 1.4Ghz though, just it wont be lightning fast
