When I try to install a ".deb" file through WINSCP It always stops at the part in terminal where it says "setting up". When I try through terminal on my Ipod Touch it says "dpkg requested operation requires superuser preiviledge". Any Help!

    You need to be root.
    So
    "sudo dpkg -i /path/to/deb.deb"
It'll ask for your password enter "alpine"

1.When it says "setting up" that means it's done.
2.you have to type su root, then your root password first, when doing it from your ipod.

Really ? I just drop the deb file into /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall using DiskAid (iFunBox will probably work too) and reboot my device. All via USB.
