Does anyone know how to install .deb files onto an iPod touch 2G? If you do know, please make sure it works because I've seen some ways that dont work. Im running 2.2.1 firmware if you need to know.

Actually it's not...(I had to find out the hard way)

Take the .deb file and place it into private/var/mobile

    Now in Terminal type

    Code:
    su root
    Tap the return key.

    Now type

    Code:
    dpkg -i (Filename.deb)
    Don't include the ( )

Tap enter and it should install!

^ There's apt-get remove... but I think you need the bundle identifier. Not sure anymore.

For the password try "alpine" without the ""
