Okay, so i am going to update my ipad 2 and my ipod touch to ios 5.1. So i was wondering if i could install a debian file like mxtube onto a non-jailbroken device. I've heard of something like InstallerApp, but that's obsolete.

InstallerApp is jailbreaking which is needed to put a Debian file on an iPod/iPad/iPhone

Getting Installer on your device would require a jailbreak, there's no workaround for installing debs on an iDevice that isn't jailbroken, or else jailbreaking would be obsolete.

You're a genius, my friend. I guess we were all plain dumb to jailbreak, just to install deb packages.

    1. There's no debian manager like Cydia available for Jailed devices.

    2. Even if there were, you'd also have to have root access and the apt/debian libraries.

    In short, No.
