hi, i've decided to unjailbreak my 1gen ipod touch, simply by installing the new 2.2FW, because after I last jailbroke, i found my ipod to be muchhh more sluggish and unstable

my only problem is, there are 2 things from my jailbreak that i LOVE and must have:
    1) pockettouch - i'm sure you know what this is, i use it all the time to change the music in my car without having to take my eyes off the road.. installed through cydia
    2) "tap to unlock" slider - saves me so much time and effort

    used via winterboard

is there any way i can keep these two features, for example by manually installing them via SSH after i unjailbreak?

also, one more question: do i need to save all my apps i downloaded from the official appstore, or will those still be there after updating like music & videos?

    thanks a lot!

Safemod stops all background processes. SO instead of unjailbreaking, unistall everything you don't use.

    Here do this.
    Rejailbreak.
    Download things you need.
Like Pocket Touch and Winterboard and Tap to unlock.
    Then apply the theme.
    Then download poof
Hide Cydia and Winterboard and Poof
There the only thing you have is Pocket touch

You might want to download an app that displays current running processes (Such as SBSettings + Processes add-on). That way, you can see what processes are running, kill them, and thus free up memory to gain speed.

    Jailbreak-battery?

Does the jailbreak at all affect the battery performance? How do I know if I should unjailbreak it or get a new battery? I just got this iPod last week and I've used mostly apps. My battery goes to 20% after about 3 or so hours of apps. I haven't really kept accurate track of how long it lasts but I seems to go pretty quick

what should info? And can I unjailbreak it but keep my apps from [PIRACY]us/cydia?
