Ok, I have been trying for the past hour or so to install Astro File Manager onto my idroid, ipod 1st gen 3.1.2 jailbreak using the iDroid 2.1 Sense UI iPod images. I am using the iDroid wiki information to install the file manager. I connected adb via usb using windows 7 everything connected fine, I entered adb shell and mount the volume for read write access, pushed the .apk to /system/app. It went fine, I rebooted my device and then it got stuck in a loop so I hard reset it and it got stuck in the same loop. So now I am forced to delete the 6 images and recopy them back onto my ipod and start all over. Does anyone have a working way of installing .apk apps onto the idroid's via adb since we cant seem to access the android market via wifi connection?

They install just fine for me. Haven't tried Astro File Manager though, that may be your problem.

found a new way of installing apps, dont think everyone is willing to do this but I found it easier for me right now as I am changing things almost everyday.

1: get system.img out of your iphone with ifunbox or iphone explorer (whatever you want)
2: put in in your Linux OS .. for example on the desktop
    3: put [whatever_app_you_want].apk on desktop
4: open terminal and do this:
    Code:
    sudo mkdir -p /mnt/android
    Code:
    sudo mount -o loop /home/ubuntu/Desktop/system.img /mnt/android
    Code:
    sudo cp /home/ubuntu/Desktop/[whatever_app_you_want].apk /mnt/android/app
    Code:
    sudo umount /mnt/android
6: Close terminal and transfer back system.img to your phone (delete the original first)
