Well I've had my device jail broken for two months now and I have found Cydia way better than isntaller. More themes and apps etc. Am I missing something or is Installer literally baron of apps and themes?

    absolutely yes.

    cydia. is way better.

you'll find themes there and many more.

just add the sources and search for the list.

    that's why i didn't install installer

    I also totally agree...

At first since I saw the Installer preview pics, I knew that Cydia made a good marketing decision to put their version on the market before Installer had the chance on 2.0. Because of the good looks of the Installer everyone thought it would be better. Even when people admitted to have bugs they thought it would be better. However now, Cydia has proven to the choice of 2.0 software. Simply because Installer updates are more rare and it sucks.

Installer crashes and it doesn't have any packages.
    THE END

Well, you're not going to find any with Installer.. and all the apps are either on App Store now, or else are on Cydia in the main repos which come with any Cydia install (BigBoss, Ste Packaging, Planet iPhone, modmyi.com).
