So i just created my own firmware using winpwn. Yes i added installer, openssh, and bsd to the list.

Problem is, when i first opened installer it had to update (to 3.1) and it didnt do that correctly apparently because installer says
So i go into winscp and change the settings in the terminal and the gui, so its definitely configured as root:Wheel now. I then rebooted and tried to run installer and got the same error. wtf? I guess I need a fix or maybe an upload of installer 3.1.

    Thanks and +rep in advance.

i experienced this last night... but i got it fixed!
i just re-install again the installer.app using iPhoneSuite.
(since i installed the installer.app v3.1 from iPhoneSuite)

    and after that, everything's OK.
