Installer problem?

    Whenever I go into installer, it says insufficient permissions and that it should be run as root::wheel. I have set the permissions to 775, and i set it to root::wheel. What am I doing wrong?

    Enter this command into Terminal:

    chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app

    ya i have the same problem and that didnt work either

    su root

    alpine

    chmod -R 777 /Applications/Installer.app

    chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app

    chmod a+srx /Applications/Installer.app

    logout

    killall SpringBoard

    Put these into the terminal application on your IPOD or IPHONE

    su root

    alpine

    chmod -R 777 /Applications/Installer.app/Installer

    chown -R root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app/Installer

    chmod a+srx /Applications/Installer.app/Installer

    logout

    killall SpringBoard
