installer painfully slow

    installer takes like 20 mins to refresh
    is there somthing i can do or do i need to just restore

    it depends on ur speed of internet access i think.
    i'd rather like some1 could add a switch to cancel the refresh process at beginning.

    now somtimes after the extremely long wait it says could not refresh sources

    And please stop bumping your thread every half hour - it's annoying.

    Some of the sources get bogged down with too much traffic and it takes a long time for them to refresh. After 1.1.2 came out, many of the sources were non-responsive because everyone was trying to upgrade and reinstall their applications.

    Alternately, if you have a BAD source (e.g., bad URL, etc.) it can take a long long time for the Installer.app to time-out a source. You can get into Sources and delete bad/slow sources and that'd help.
