I was updating some of my apps, and when it was "cleaning up" my installer crashed. Now, whenever i try to open up installer, it stays at a white screen and then crashes to the home screen.

My ipot recently crashed and i had to restore it, therefore, i dont have the apps installed in order to SSH into my ipod and i don't have file browser or mobile finder.

    Please help, thanks!

Did you install BossTool and move your fonts, ringtones, and apps yet?

    ssh into/var/mobile/library/installer and
    rename remotepackages.plist to remote packages.plist.old
    and run installer

i did search, but all solutions required ssh into ipot....i can't though because i never installed the apps i need to do so, (i use to, but my ipot crashed and had to restore it).

is there a way to do this without ssh?

Use iphonebrowser or any other program that allows access into the iPod through the USB cable rather than a wireless signal.
