When ever i go to install any applicatiomn, it installs fine, then Installer crashes to home screen.

I restart springboard, and no app is there.

How can i fix without a restore.

    NOTE:

I cant edit via SSH (donesn't let me)

You may be running out of app space.

Uninstall a few items, install BossTool. Run BossTool, and move the fonts and applications folders. Reboot. Enjoy your new freedom.

try entering this command in Term-vt100 or PuTTy.

    chown root:wheel /Applications/Installer.app

check if the app is being installed-
it would be in /Applications if it worked.
