I jailbroken my ipot and I'm using Cydia, it takes a little bit to get used to it, but I like Installer better. Maybe because I'm so used to it. I do admit the loading time for each app in Cydia is better. It takes a lot of used to to understand SSH in Cydia.
Is Installer coming out soon for Windows? if it is, would jailbreakin' it be the same as far as Ziphone, +Liberty? or do we go back to the 45 minutes loading phase?

Closed source, profit, is always better. No exceptions. Not even Linux.

Saying "Installer is better than Cydia" is like saying "The grass is green". We know it is. It's a fact.

I know, it was just my opinion. Installer is a little easier. Any news on when Installer coming out for the 2.0?

Well they have their +'s and -'s.

Cydia has the lag of it which annoys me for whenever it is open and takes a little more time for installation. But Cydia has a more of a working feature than a UI feature. And saurik is much faster in responding to questions. Also it is safer because packages need to be signed for by someody.

Installer has refresh sources once per day so it is easier to download without refreshing. It refreshes in the background now, has tasks, and a much better UI. But they are terrible for respond time. And not to mention it lacks saftey. Someone could trash your entire iPod with a repository.

What the hell are you talking about? SSH is the same into your iPod / iPhone regardless of Cydia or Installer.

There's a leaked version out there. But it only has like 4 packages so yeah.

Hopefully RiP doesn't put a price on Installer 4. That would suck.

well with with cydia there are more files in SSH its just getting use to it. with Installer, since using it for so long it was a breeze to get to where I was going in SSH. Cydia on the other hand its a bit different files.

I'm just glad I was able to change the theme I was getting tired of regular ipod theme. I can rest, now that I have "Badge" installed again.
