I am on a 1.1.4 firmware Itouch and everytime i try and use installer it crashes. I had about a million sources before it stopped working and i have read other posts and it says i need to SSH into my Itouch and delete RemotePackages.plist. I have tried this by SSHing into my Itouch and by using the MobileFinder and it wont let me delete it. Everytime i try it says it failed and when i click More>> it tells me that permission is denied to delete it. Help Please!?!?! +rep for the one who helps

i had this problem and posted about it yesterday. hope this helps.

I think what we've done is d'load 2.0 stuff on the older software.

so its kinda messing up...did u recently install blaze ultimate sources? didnt u see the pop up that said if installer crashes delete a root file...

well i think thats your issue. and u cant get into installer to fix it. and if i am corrent your itunes dosnt want to restore..

if i am on the right track let me know and i will let u know what i did...if not sorry and good luck bro

In Installer.app, simply go to 'Uninstall' and remove that repository.

Installer crashing is usually caused by low disk space. uninstall some apps from installer, and then install bosstool.app

use it to Free Disk Space on your ipod, then you can install wahtever you please!

you need to ssh in to it through ftp and change the installer permissions to 777, then uninstall a few big apps not bsd subsystem or ssh then install bosstool then free some disk space.

i already did bosstool when i first jailbroke my itouch. I have 124 MB free out of 300 MB on my OS drive and 868 MB free out of 7440 MB on my /var drive. So i dont think im running low on space.
