Here is the problem. I upgraded the Installer a few days ago. Ever since then, every time I try to open it, it lags for about 10 seconds and goes back to the springboard. I have the most current BossTools (3.5) and after moving all the apps, ringtones, and fonts, I have about 130mb free from the total 300mb. This makes me think its not a disk space problem ... although I do have 80+ apps/games/toys/etc = about 1gb of "Other" space on the Touch.

I found other forums that had older versions of installer which i tried to replace using CuteFTP. Nothing changed. Does anyone have a fresh, working installer they could send me that I can try to replace mine with. Also, do I just have to replace all the files in the "/Applications/Installer.app" and nothing else? Any other help is appreciated. I am trying to avoid my last option ... restoring the Touch.

    Thanks guys.

Try typing these commands into an SSH program:

    cd /private/var/Applications
    chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
    chown -R root:wheel Installer.app

ok i got it. go to settings on your ipod. hit general. hit reset. hit erase all content and settings. your going to lose all you images and stuff but when it comes back you WILL STILL HAVE YOUR APPS. then go to installer and it will run properly.
