I tap on the icon and a few second later the app freezes.. I have to press the home button and wait a few mins for it to exit.

Don't use Installer. Ever. Just delete it, seriously. Cydia is much more stable, and Installer may as well be dead.

    1) Open Terminal or WinSCP.
2a) If you're using WinSCP, browse to /Applications and delete Installer.app.
2b) If you're using Terminal, use the following:
    Code:
    su root
    alpine
    cd /
    cd /private/var/stash
    ls
cd Applications.xxxxxx (replace the xxxxxx with the six characters that show in the directory name)
    rm -rf Installer.app

Or something along those lines. I recommend using WinSCP due to the GUI.

    Enough said.
Installer was good on 1.1-1.1.5, 2.0+ Installer fails.
