Ok im new and im not sure if this will be helpful to all but i was trying to find a way around having to re-jailbreak my itouch again. This is on 1.1.4....

SSH into your iTouch, Once you log in go to the root folder, Now travel to the User Installer Directory which is....
    /<root>;User;Library;Installer
    or
    /private/var/mobile/Library/Installer
    Then i deleted Remote.....plist.

Right after i deleted this file installer opened right up. I had the problem as a few people have that it would open to a white screen and then reboot to springboard. Now im not telling you this is a sure fix it is just what helped me as when i saw the file it was 2,234,386 which i thought was kinda weird. Im also not entierly sure what i deleted but all my sources are still there, all files are there, and everything still works. Just a idea i also did replace my installer.app in the applications folder with the installer.app from sendspace that is on this forum. Also made this to just try and help with out haveing to re-jailbreak again as iLiberty was giving me fits anyways.

If you take the Blaze source off you shouldn't have to do it every time
