I have successfully jailbroken 1.1.3 using the dev team method. However, Installer does not successfully install anything that I have tried it with. At first, I would get a "main script execution failure", but I employed the fix that is on the Featured page of Installer:

    cd /Applications
    chmod -s Installer.app/Installer
    chown -R Installer.app

This fixed my first problem. But now, I have a new one; half way through installing an application, Installer will crash. Does anyone know how to fix this?

alrite, i think i just fixed the same problem uve got.
1st to if it uve got the same problem as me go into cuteftp or winscp and enter the terminal and type df -h

if it says that you have 0 space in the /dev/dev.... folder then youve got the same problem as me

in the termal type the following commands:

    cp -r /Applications /private/var/Applications
    rm -rf /Applications
    ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications

hope that helps, i know how much of a pain installer not working can be!

After spending ages wondering why, when Installing apps manually using FTP, it would work fine then one of them would stop copying halfway through, I eventually figured out that I'd run out of space. But thanks for confirming this, and for saving me time by giving me the commands to type in!

    Is your disk space full?

Relocate via BossTool.. just a thought.

edit: BossTool is much easier, and i see it has been resolved. sry for post.
