I have the beta, and am very impressed by the user interface and similarity to the Appstore. I also like how they combined the install and uninstall categories. BUT, I have some problems with it

    :

    1) The Featured Page looks unprofessional compared to the other pages. The gray in the background is a different color and the buttons are white (unlike anything in the other categories)

. The name of the featured application needs to have its icon next to it.

    2) This is big, there is no search button. This is a necessity when more apps begin to be ported to 2.0.

    3) And lastly, they should change the name of the Categories button to Packages. It would allow for a better icon. Maybe a folder, that square looks horrible

. It would also make more sense, since this is also where you uninstall packages now (I think)

Maybe I'm being overly harsh, but this is what a beta needs. Every little problem needs to be addressed so that the final product is near flawless

    i agree with u 100%
the featured page is so boring. i mean the old installer even had a prettier featured page. come on now! and if you try to click on the only featured package (mobile enhancer) it does nothing. it needs an icon and pretty pictures!

How did you guys even GET the beta. o_____o

Went out on a little walk today, and came back several hours later, and like half the iPTF forum has Installer 4.0 (Yes, I know this is exaggerated).

Nothing was 'removed.' They created Installer 4 from scratch so it's just that it hasn't been added yet.

    Installer for everyone yay!

I think the beta looks and handles terrifically, but I HATE, repeat, HATE, how the installed packages do not have a special uninstall tab. Also, as others have said, the featured page needs some fixing up.

they probably don't see a need for search untill they actually release developer sources to the beta testers. as of now, the beta testers only have one source, the RiP dev source :/
