    Hi Guys,
I have got my UDID registered and want to test the 4.0 Beta. Now since I dont have a Mac, what ways are there for me to install the Beta? Thanks for all your help.

Get a mac, borrow a mac, hackintosh your pc (This option, although most feasible, may take forever to get going, trust me)

    3 Ways :

    A.Use A Mac.
    B.Hackintosh
    C.VMWare Workstation.

My opinion - Not worth the trouble.

Hold alt when you click the restore button on itunes
this will bring up a file picker
    click the .ipsw

    Beta 2 is very buggy
You still cannot change the wall paper
And multitasking does not work properly
I suggest that you don't do it

i use vmware.. it works, but you've gotta do some fiddling (with usb slots, vm settings, etc)

i'm on beta 2 and i can set wallpapers just fine and i've experienced zero bugs that have bothered me at all (maybe a few very minor ones, like.. no i can't think of any at all)

it's well worth the trouble it takes imo; much better than unjailbroken 3.1.3, my only other option

i'd be happy to walk you through it if you've got msn and want to go the vmware route

Rofl, that will work only in Mac. Not Windows.

    I can use wallpaper fine...
And multitasking is more like a list of recently used apps

I haven't experienced any bugs other than one time notes crashed, but I guess that's just me...

The reason why multitasking is the way it is right now, is because App Store apps haven't been updated to be able to multitask. So once they update the apps, it'll be real multitasking

If suggest VMware Workstation. The biggest downside is that it isn't very cheap.

Still, it depends on how badly you want the beta. As mentioned before, nothing that Steve Jobs mentioned at the unveiling of 4.0 works just like he advertised yet.

I know, I know... I wish developers would implement in already... none of the apps I use have gotten updates with it.
