I have a jailbroken 1st gen iPod with 2.1 firmware

Is there anyway to install apps using just the usb connection? My wifi isnt working now, so until I can get it fixed i need another way to install apps.

I cant install openSSH because I have no wifi

I know iGopher works for previous firmware, but is there anything like it for 2.1 firmware?

For App Store Apps, just use iTunes and sync them onto your iPod. If they're apps from Cydia or Installer, you can install them - if you have the install package for said file, or if you had the file downloaded. You can put them onto the iPod, but then you need something like TotalCommander to set permissions, or else you have to manually set them with chmod and chown, unless it was a .deb package for Cydia, in which case you can just use apt-get to install the file.

Use app store apps or go to a HotSpot.

Use iPhone Tunnel Suite. It allows you to use SSH without Wi-Fi.
