wouldn't this guide perhaps be more useful if there WAS an OtA update?

Or if the guide told us how to MAKE OTA updates? A bit of a misleading title...

    I just realized something...

If I restored to stock 5.0.1, then after 5.1 came out I OTA'd to it, couldn't I still be able to jailbreak?

You can be assured Apple will include a fixed version of the exploited part of the OS.

Changed it to "how to apply" instead of "how to make."

+1. Title should say how to INSTALL OTA updates.

iOS 5.0.1 was an over-the-air update and a future iOS version should be right around the corner.

Well yea, but don't you think it would be good to wait till at least the next iOS is in beta phase?
