Okay, so ever since I jailbroke my iPod Touch, I SSHed my iPod Touch only to see that the available space left for more packages are: 135.5 MB on an 8GB iPod touch 2G.

Now, I'm really disappointed by the fact that this is too small. Is there a way to increase this?

You can create a custom IPSW with PwnageTool and increase the root partition size, but that involves a restore. That's really all you can do.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. *smacks self on forehead*

Download BossTool and move all of your Fonts and Ringtones. This adds to the space iTunes sees as "Other," so be prepared.

According to their own site, PwnageTool isn't compatible with the 2g Touch, just the 1g Touch. Which means those of us with a 2g are stuck with this pathetically small system partition, making Cydia and Icy of very limited use because you have room for Jack sh*t{tm}.
