I know this is similar to something that works in normal pwnage but i want to increase the size of the root partition for my redsn0w pwned 2g ipod touch from its 700 MB. Can i use something to modify the firmware post redsn0w or will the pwnage still work if i do it before. I know it is a little precarious as it is, to be honest i am afarid to go mucking around in the unofficial release in case it just does not work.

ok... this will help. go into cydia. then download bosstool. then when thats done, go into that and hit relocate fonts. that should give u a bunch more space. that relocate ur fonts to the smaller partition, and that will give u more space.

instead of making the root directory bigger, you can move it into the media section. This way you can use the full capacity of the ipod.

    BossTools does it
