Incorrenct Capacity in 2G iPod Touch 3.0, jailbroken

    mine says fifteen instead of sixteen---edit now its 14.5

    It's because the firmware takes up about a gig of space. My eight says seven also

    The firmware takes up about 250~300mb. The actualy capacity of '1 GigaByte' is not 1024 megabytes. That's why it say's "Actual Formatted capacity may be less" or something like that, I dont know the exact amount of a gig, and the jailbrake takes up a tiny bit.

    Yeah its not really fair, apple should supply with a 8.5GB or sumin to take up firmware lol

    Apple doesn't make the flash drives for the iPod/iPhone, lol complain to toshiba or samsung or whoever sends Apple the flash drives lol. That's how data is and how it's always been so stop complaining

    then they should advertise as 7.5 gb... no?

    Would you buy it it said 7.5? Doesn't really make sense to sell something like that. Also, look at nearly everything else storage related. Your Hard drive, it's sold as something like 320, 250, 400, 500, but it's smaller right?
