    Hey all,
So I got the new iPod Touch and had some general basic questions.
So if I jailbreak using limera1n for 4.1 OS, can I just restore it in iTunes and will the store know if I jailbroke it or not?
Wouldn't my iTunes automatically update my iPod when I charge it as it checks for updates so often? Therefore, wouldn't I lose the jailbreak?
I saw that video of a white jailbroken iPhone and one in safe mode and wouldn't really mind the difference so I guess thats not a problem.
If I jailbreak, what could go wrong? If I successfully jailbreak, would anything go wrong afterwords? What does it mean to brick?
I bought this at Costco and they said I could return it as long as it doesn't have scratches and the guy said I could just restore it if I jailbroke it so I guess I will. I just don't want to mess anything up lol
    Thanks for the help

iTunes doesn't automatically update, it asks you to update. I'd suggest using greenpois0n to jailbreak you iPod, though, since its more stable. The only possible things that can go wrong is if you do somthing you shouldn't be doing like getting pirated apps (which is illegal). It's 100% safe otherwise. You cannot brick an iPod Touch, Jailbreaking is legal and safe. Have Fun!

    1. The store won't be able to find out. But Apple can (once something it written, it's impossible to permanently delete it). By this time, it'll be too late.
    2. iTunes asks before any updates.
    3. If you jailbreak, the worst that can happen before and after is having to DFU restore. To brick means to make your device as useful as a brick. Because of DFU restore, it's impossible to brick your device (unless you use a Virtual Memory mod).
    4. It's been legal to jailbreak since the first iPhone, they just recently made a law saying it was. Before the law, there was nothing to say you weren't allowed to. Just because it's legal though doesn't mean it doesn't void warranty. Always restore before you give it to Apple or Costco.

Thats all for now. Enjoy your newly acquired device

Free apps are fine (but most of them aren't that great). Pirated apps aren't.

GreenPois0n, LimeRa1n, and PwnageTool all work for the iPod Touch 4G.

Quick question on the topic of law, Is jailbreaking legal just in America or is it a global law?

Yeah, I realized it was the shatter exploit they're holding off. So which one is the best out of GreenPois0n, LimeRa1n, and PwnageTool?
