Can any members with a lot of use of their iPod touch, please post your methods of saving your battery life? I have read the post in here about saving battery life and have done so, but seem to have an issue still. So I figure if all members who read this can post their methods, maybe we can all benefit from this and I know I will!

    p.s, I have an 8gb 1st gen. iPod touch.

    Thanks to all, The Crow.

Install SBSettings and when wifi is not in use, turn it off.

Keep your brightness down to about 15%.

It does not matter if when you are using your wifi, you have SSH on, as it is only active when it is being requested by a server (your computer).

O.k where are the SBSsettings, are they in the Installer area and what is the SSH thingy and sorry for sounding so stupid but I am a learner. I just purchased my 8gb 1st gen. iPod touch from someone and I did the jailbreak my self and all works great, but some things I don't know what they are and where to find them but I am sure I would eventually stumble upon them. If you can point me in the right direction for the 2 at the top of my post, that would be great especially the SBSettings.

You can download SBSettings in Cydia or Installer.

I kill all User-Created Processes, turn off Wi-Fi, turn off SSH, turn down the brightness to the lowest. That's about it for my 1G.
I do nothing for my 2G. It lives for a long time.

There's a whole thread about how to extend battery life.

    Somehow, that made me laugh.
