This is a discussion thread for the "In Microsoft's Executive Shuffle, Bill Gates Sided With Ballmer" story posted on the front page.
I think this was a really bad move. Under this guy Microsoft has come out with some of the greatest stuff it's ever done. Doesn't make any sense regardless of who's supporting it.
In other words they are following Apple's steps. I'm a fan of Apple, but I would like to see Microsoft in a better direction. They need to brainstorm and introspect. Bill Gates presented the first tablet and it didn't get much of the attention, much later Apple came with iPad and the world stopped. How can this be? Microsoft has to do things right in first place. They can't continue to be behind! They need specific departments to discusss ideias and have a plan. Probably more creative people. I still remember Microsoft Surface as a prototype and I liked it very much. But the new product is a complete different thing. Microsoft follow the Google example. They innovate themselves and are organised, that's the right thing to do. A company that doesn't stick with their plans and follow the others will not get much of public attention.
It started as iPodtouchfans, so that's obviously apple focused. Then it was multitouchfans, which signifies a shift to a broader range of devices Ifans is just a shorter, cooler name
