OK, I've tried multiple programs now to jailbreak(untethered) my iPod and when I have to put it in DFU mode, I do that, but no program ever detects it. I've done tethered jailbreak before and did it all just fine. What could be the problem? I'm pretty sure it's in DFU mode because when I do it iTunes says it needs to be restored bla bla bla. Can anyone help?

if you use QuickFreedom I believe it says what mode the iPod is in, at the bottom. also I believe if you launch a shell with iRecovery, it will tell you whether it is in DFU or Recovery mode.

If it doesn't recognize it then it's not in DFU
