I was thinking of just copying the whole iTunes folder but Im going from windows to mac so I dont know if that is possible.

I just want to keep my playlists so I dont have to create them again, cause it took a while making them. So how do I do this?

There is this thing in iTunes you see...It's called the "File" Menu.

just copy your whole itunes folder (located under my music) and paste it to your new computer after you're done installing itunes

you will have your music, playlists and wont have to resync your ipod

but that doesnt seem to work since Im going from windows to mac. And when I do the export/import thing the playlist just comes out empty. I have the playlist in there with the correct name and all, but no music in it. How come? Is this also because its from windows to mac? There must be some way to just transfer the playlist from my ipod to my new mac (my ipod has the playlist I need)

iTunes won't let you copy music from your iPod to PC, in an easy way. (iTunes library to PC is easy)
    You could SSH to it.

Nah its not the music, I have all the music on the mac. I just want to put in my playlist and have iTunes know which songs I have on this playlist.
