Every time i try to drag and drop an avi video into iTunes, the cursor turns into the denied icon, and importing it manually means the video doesn't appear.

Do you have to convert videos before putting them into iTunes now? I swear you used to put normal videos on and then your iPod would go OMG ITS NOT QUICKTIME FORMAT ERROR ERROR BEACHBALL OF DEATH.

I hate iTunes 10, first music wouldn't import, now this...

you will need cinexplayer, if you dont want to convert your films, once you get that its got instructions on how to transfer your films, over quite simple really.

    Are you on OS X?

If so there's a program I use called iVI which will import any video you drop on it (including AVIs). It's got a free trial which will work long enough for you to get your import done although I've brought my copy. It's here http://www.southpolesoftware.com/iVI/iVI.php
